The Application Effect of Aerobic Rehabilitation Training Based on Augmented Reality Technology in Patients with Heart Failure

Abstract:Objective: To explore the application effect of AR technology-based cardiac aerobic rehabilitation training in patients with heart failure and its impact on quality of life. Methods: A total of 116 patients with heart failure treated in our hospital from February 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into an observation group (58 cases) and a control group (58 cases). The control group received conventional rehabilitation training, while the observation group received AR technology-based cardiac aerobic rehabilitation training. The incidence of adverse cardiovascular events, cardiac function indicators, 6-minute walk test (6MWT), plasma N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), exercise tolerance, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results: The total incidence of adverse cardiovascular events in the observation group was 13.79%, which was significantly lower than 34.48% in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, both groups showed a decrease in left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) and left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD), an increase in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), an extension of 6MWT, a reduction in NT-proBNP levels, and an increase in peak power, peak oxygen uptake, anaerobic threshold, and exercise duration. Additionally, the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ) scores decreased, while the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) scores increased, all with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Moreover, the observed indicators in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: AR technology-based cardiac aerobic rehabilitation training can effectively reduce the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events, improve cardiopulmonary function indicators in patients with heart failure, enhance their exercise tolerance, and significantly improve their quality of life.
