Abstract:Braided coronary arteries are a rare congenital abnormality of the coronary arteries. Due to the low detection rate of this condition, its related characteristics are not clear. Determining the involvement of braided coronary arteries in the cause of death during forensic investigations has become a challenge. By reviewing recent literature at home and abroad on braided coronary arteries, this study systematically summarizes the epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations, anatomical and histopathological features, as well as common inducing factors and risk factors of braided coronary arteries, aiming to provide references for forensic pathological research and forensic investigations.
