Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical effect of Yangxin Shumai Granules for the treatment of unstable angina pectoris(UA)in the elderly with contention between static and heat. Methods:Sixty elderly patients with UA were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group. The patients of the control group were treated with conventional treatment, while the patients of the observation group were supplemented with Yangxin Shumai Granules on the basis of the control group,20 g each time, three times a day. Both groups were treated continuously for 12 weeks. The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, angina pectoris attack conditions, electrocardiogram therapeutic effects, tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were compared between two groups. Results:After treatment, com pared with data before treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, attack frequency, duration, nitroglycerin dosage,TC,LDL-C,TNF-α,and IL-6 in the observation group decreased, the SAQ score increased, while the results of observation group were superior to those of the control group. There were statistically significant differences(76.67%vs 46.67%,P<0.05).The total effective rate of electrocardiogram in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and there were statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Yangxin Shumai granules for the treatment of UA in the elderly with contention between static and heat could improve attack of angina pectoris, enhance clinical effect. The mechanism was related to lowering blood lipid and inhibiting inflammation.
