Abstract:Objective: To study the correlation between serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and mean platelet volume-to-lymphocyte ratio (MPVLR) levels with coronary artery lesions in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Methods: A total of 120 patients with STEMI treated in our hospital from January 2021 to July 2023 were selected as the observation group, and 120 healthy individuals undergoing physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. According to the SYNTAX score, the observation group was divided into low-risk group (<23 points, 75 cases) and high-risk group (≥23 points, 45 cases). Serum HDL-C, NLR, and MPVLR levels were detected in all groups. Univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis were used to identify risk factors for coronary artery lesions in STEMI patients. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of serum HDL-C, NLR, and MPVLR levels for coronary artery lesions in STEMI patients, and correlation analysis was performed. Results: The serum HDL-C level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, while NLR and MPVLR levels were higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The HDL-C level in the low-risk group was higher than that in the high-risk group, while NLR and MPVLR levels were lower, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that HDL-C, NLR, and MPVLR were risk factors for the severity of coronary artery lesions (P < 0.05). The ROC results showed that the area under the curve (AUC) for predicting the severity of coronary artery lesions in STEMI patients by serum HDL-C, NLR, and MPVLR levels were 0.572, 0.657, and 0.679, respectively. Serum HDL-C levels were negatively correlated with the severity of coronary artery lesions, while NLR and MPVLR were positively correlated (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Serum HDL-C, NLR, and MPVLR levels in STEMI patients are closely related to the severity of coronary artery lesions, providing a reliable reference for clinical assessment of coronary artery lesions.
