Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Zhitong Rushen Decoction on constipation after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods:Seventy patients with constipation after PCI for ACS were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 35 cases in each group. The patients in control group were treated with oral lactulose solution, while the patients in experimental group were treated with Zhitong Rushen Decoction. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. The first defecation time, constipation symptom score, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,interleukin-6(IL-6),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),and serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared before and after treatment in both groups. Results:In terms of the overall efficacy of constipation after PCI for ACS,the total effective rate of the experimental group was 94.29%after treatment, which was better than that of the control group(74.29%).After treatment, the experimental group was better than the control group in the constipation symptom score and the single syndrome score of TCM constipation, and the levels of inflammatory factors. There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups. Conclusion:Zhitong Rushen Decoction can effectively treat constipation after PCI for ACS and reduce the damage of inflammatory factors to the myocardium, with good clinical safety.
