Abstract:Objective: To investigate the characteristics of lipid abnormalities in perimenopausal women and the multitarget regulatory effects of Zhibitai capsules in treating this population. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 462 perimenopausal women, with epidemiological analysis of lipid abnormalities. A prospective randomized controlled study included 82 patients, comparing the efficacy of Zhibitai capsules with traditional statin drugs. Evaluation indicators included lipid levels, sex hormone levels, inflammatory markers, metabolic indicators, quality of life, subjective symptoms, and adverse reaction rates. The treatment period was 12 weeks. Results: The detection rate of lipid abnormalities in perimenopausal women was 52.16%, with mixed hyperlipidemia being the most common type. Lipid levels were positively correlated with body mass index (P < 0.05), while TC and LDL-C were negatively correlated with E2 levels (P < 0.05). After treatment, the Zhibitai group showed lower levels of triglycerides (TG), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), and insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Improvements in quality of life scores and subjective symptom scores at week 8 and week 12 were also better in the Zhibitai group (P < 0.05). During the treatment period, the incidence of adverse reactions in the Zhibitai group was lower than that in the control group (P = 0.043), with lower rates of side effects such as elevated liver enzymes and renal dysfunction. In the subgroup with liver function abnormalities, Zhibitai showed better effects in reducing liver enzymes and TG compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The detection rate of lipid abnormalities is high among perimenopausal women. Zhibitai capsules show significant efficacy in improving lipids, inflammation, and metabolism in this population, especially in reducing TG, hs-CRP, HOMA-IR, improving quality of life, and reducing adverse reactions compared to traditional statin drugs.
