Abstract:This review summarizes the research progress on the pathophysiological mechanisms of heart failure and analyzes the clinical study data of active components and classical compound prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine. As the terminal stage of cardiovascular disease development, heart failure still faces great challenges in clinical treatment. Although modern medicine has made significant progress in the field of cardiovascular diseases, conventional chemical drugs still show unsatisfactory effects in reducing the mortality rate of patients with heart failure. Traditional Chinese medicine, with its advantages of multi-component synergistic action and multiple mechanisms of action, has shown unique efficacy in improving the clinical symptoms of patients with heart failure. TCM can exert cardioprotective effects by regulating calcium ion homeostasis in myocardial cells, inhibiting oxidative stress reactions, and regulating mitochondrial autophagy.
