Abstract:Objective: To observe the effects of cardiac rehabilitation exercise combined with dapagliflozin on cardiac function and quality of life in patients with heart failure. Methods: A total of 76 patients with heart failure admitted to Yingtan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 38 cases in each group. The control group received dapagliflozin and other conventional treatments for heart failure, while the experimental group received additional cardiac rehabilitation exercise on top of the treatment in the control group. The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), 6-minute walk test (6MWT), N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), and Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ) scores were compared before and after treatment between the two groups. Results: After treatment, NT-proBNP, LVESD, LVEDD, and MLHFQ scores in both groups decreased compared to before treatment, and the experimental group had significantly lower levels of NT-proBNP, LVESD, LVEDD, and MLHFQ scores than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, LVEF and 6MWT in both groups increased compared to before treatment, and the experimental group showed a more significant increase in LVEF and 6MWT than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Cardiac rehabilitation exercise combined with dapagliflozin can improve cardiac function, reduce NT-proBNP levels, and enhance the quality of life in patients with heart failure.
