Abstract:This review summarizes the risk factors for ventricular arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. Dilated cardiomyopathy is a mixed type of cardiomyopathy characterized by progressive cardiac enlargement, thinning of the ventricular walls, arrhythmia, heart failure, thromboembolism, and sudden cardiac death. The risk of ventricular arrhythmia and even sudden cardiac death in this disease is high, and the prognosis is poor. Therefore, it is essential to assess early the possibility of ventricular arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and provide early intervention treatment as much as possible.
