Abstract:Objective: To explore the relationship between radial pulse wave harmonic indices and the number of coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 132 inpatients from the Department of Cardiology at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine between December 2022 and April 2023. According to the results of coronary angiography, the patients were divided into single-vessel group, double-vessel group, and multi-vessel group, with 44 cases in each group. Radial pulse wave data were collected using a spectral pulse diagnosis instrument, and the relationship between radial harmonic indices and the number of coronary artery lesions was analyzed. Results: There was a logistic regression relationship between the zeroth harmonic (C0) of the radial pulse wave and the number of coronary artery lesions. In the ordered logistic regression analysis, C0 had a significant impact on the classification of lesion vessels. For every one-unit increase in C0, the probability of the lesion vessel classification increasing by one or more levels decreased by 0.060. Conclusion: C0 of the radial pulse wave is related to the number of coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary heart disease, suggesting that the lower the state of the Pericardium Meridian represented by this index, the more coronary artery lesions there are, and the more severe the lesions are.
