Abstract:Objective: To observe the effects of modified Shengxian decoction on ventricular remodeling and inflammatory factors in patients with heart failure with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. Methods: A total of 100 patients with heart failure with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome admitted between January 2022 and June 2023 were selected. According to the random number table principle and opaque envelope method, the patients were divided into observation group and control group, each with 50 cases. The control group received standard Western medical treatment, while the observation group was given additional modified Shengxian decoction treatment on the basis of standard Western medical treatment. Both groups were treated continuously for 3 months. The Lee's heart failure score, TCM symptom score, Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ) score, and 6-minute walk test were compared before and after treatment. Ventricular remodeling indicators [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), end-diastolic interventricular septal thickness (IVST), left ventricular posterior wall thickness (LVPWT), end-systolic left ventricular internal diameter (LVESD), and end-diastolic left ventricular internal diameter (LVEDD)] and inflammatory factor indicators [tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), transforming growth factor β (TGF-β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP)] were measured. Results: Compared with before treatment, after treatment, both groups showed a decrease in Lee's heart failure score, TCM symptom score, MLHFQ score, IVST, LVPWT, LVESD, LVEDD, TNF-α, TGF-β, IL-6, and NT-proBNP, an increase in 6-minute walk test distance, and an increase in LVEF (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group after treatment, the observation group showed a greater decrease in Lee's heart failure score, TCM symptom score, MLHFQ score, IVST, LVPWT, LVESD, LVEDD, TNF-α, TGF-β, IL-6, and NT-proBNP, an increase in 6-minute walk test distance, and an increase in LVEF, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Modified Shengxian decoction has a definite therapeutic effect on heart failure with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome, which can improve ventricular remodeling and reduce inflammatory factors.
