Abstract:Objective: To analyze the correlation between cardiac function, myocardial strain parameters, inflammatory markers, and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients with myocardial infarction. Methods: A total of 168 patients with myocardial infarction treated in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects. Follow-up was conducted for 6 months, and the patients were divided into MACE group (31 cases) and non-MACE group (137 cases) according to whether MACE occurred. The cardiac function parameters, myocardial strain parameters, and inflammatory indicators of the two groups were compared, and the correlation between cardiac function parameters, myocardial strain parameters, and inflammatory markers with the occurrence of MACE was analyzed. Results: The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and stroke volume index (SVI) in the MACE group were lower than those in the non-MACE group, while the left ventricular end-systolic volume index (LVESVI) and left ventricular end-diastolic volume index (LVEDVI) were higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The global circumferential strain (GCS), global circumferential strain rate (GCSr), global longitudinal strain (GLS), and global longitudinal strain rate (GLSr) in the MACE group were higher than those in the non-MACE group, while the global radial strain rate (GRSr) was lower, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), and interleukin 6 (IL-6) levels in the MACE group were higher than those in the non-MACE group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that LVEF and SVI were negatively correlated with the occurrence of MACE (r values were -0.672 and -0.340, respectively, P < 0.05), while LVESVI and LVEDVI were positively correlated with the occurrence of MACE (r values were 0.672 and 0.536, respectively, P < 0.05); GCS, GCSr, GLS, and GLSr were positively correlated with the occurrence of MACE (r values were 0.672, 0.475, 0.472, and 0.354, respectively, P < 0.05); global radial strain (GRS) and GRSr were negatively correlated with the occurrence of MACE (r values were -0.173 and 0.355, respectively, P < 0.05); TNF-α, hs-CRP, and IL-6 were positively correlated with the occurrence of MACE (r values were 0.653, 0.672, and 0.671, respectively, P < 0.05). Conclusion: Cardiac function parameters and myocardial strain parameters obtained by cardiac magnetic resonance feature tracking technology are correlated with the occurrence of MACE in patients with myocardial infarction.
