Effects of Draba Nemorata Decoction on Serum H-FABP,GDF-15,and NT-proBNP Expression Levels in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the effect of Huangqi Dingli Zi Decoction on the serum levels of heart-type fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP), growth differentiation factor (GDF-15), and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods: A total of 90 patients with chronic heart failure admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment, while the observation group was given additional treatment with Huangqi Dingli Zi Decoction. The serum indicators [heart-type fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP), growth differentiation factor (GDF-15), N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP)], cardiac function indicators [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD)], heart failure improvement indicators [Lee's heart failure score, 6-minute walk distance], TCM syndrome scores (total main symptom score, total secondary symptom score), and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results: Compared with before treatment, after treatment, the levels of H-FABP, GDF-15, NT-proBNP, LVEDD, LVESD, Lee's heart failure score, total main symptom score, and total secondary symptom score in both groups decreased, while LVEF increased and 6-minute walk distance was prolonged. Moreover, after treatment, the levels of H-FABP, GDF-15, NT-proBNP, LVEDD, LVESD, Lee's heart failure score, total main symptom score, and total secondary symptom score in the observation group were lower, while LVEF was higher and 6-minute walk distance was longer. The total effective rate of the observation group after treatment was 95.56%, which was higher than that of the control group at 84.44% (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Treatment with Huangqi Dingli Zi Decoction for chronic heart failure can reduce the levels of H-FABP, GDF-15, and NT-proBNP, promote recovery of cardiac function, improve symptoms of heart failure, and enhance the therapeutic effect.
