Abstract:Objective: To analyze the predictive value of serum C1q/tumor necrosis factor-related protein 9 (CTRP9) and angiopoietin-like protein 4 (ANGPTL4) levels for short-term prognosis in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods: A total of 121 ACS patients who underwent PCI at our hospital between February 2022 and August 2022 were selected as the study group, and 117 healthy individuals undergoing physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. Serum CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 levels were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pearson correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between CTRP9 and ANGPTL4. Spearman correlation analysis was used to assess the relationship between serum CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 levels and the number of coronary artery lesions and Gensini score. Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify risk factors for ACS. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to evaluate the predictive value of serum CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 levels for short-term prognosis in ACS patients after PCI. Results: The prevalence of diabetes history, hypertension history, and smoking history was higher in the study group than in the control group (P < 0.05). Serum CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 levels were lower in the study group compared to the control group (P < 0.05). In ACS patients, serum CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 levels decreased with increasing number of coronary artery lesions and Gensini scores (P < 0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 (P < 0.05). Spearman correlation analysis revealed a negative correlation between serum CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 levels and the number of coronary artery lesions and Gensini scores (P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that low expression of CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 was a risk factor for the occurrence of ACS (P < 0.05). Serum CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 levels were lower in the poor prognosis group compared to the good prognosis group (P < 0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) for combined prediction of CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 was better than that for individual prediction of CTRP9 or ANGPTL4 (Z combined vs CTRP9 = 2.732, Z combined vs ANGPTL4 = 2.976, P < 0.05 for both). Conclusion: The combination of serum CTRP9 and ANGPTL4 has high clinical value in predicting the short-term prognosis of ACS patients after PCI.
