Abstract:Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is one of the common critical emergencies in clinical practice and also the terminal stage of various cardiovascular diseases. Stent implantation, as one of the most effective treatments for AMI, has greatly improved the prognosis of patients with AMI. However, some patients may still be at risk of experiencing subsequent adverse cardiovascular events. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history of understanding the pathogenesis of AMI, mainly regarding deficiency of heart qi as the root and blood stasis as the manifestation. In the treatment of AMI with Qi-enhancing and blood-activating herbal medicine, rich clinical experience has been accumulated. In recent years, combined with conventional Western medical stent implantation therapy, oral administration of traditional Chinese medicine has achieved significant progress in the treatment of AMI, showing promising therapeutic prospects. This study aims to review the relevant research on the treatment of AMI with traditional Chinese medicine combined with stent implantation, in order to provide evidence-based support for clinical treatment.
