Abstract:Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture combined with Ginkgo diterpenoid glucoside injection in the treatment of cerebral infarction and its effect on serum NOD-like receptor pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β). Methods: A total of 96 patients with cerebral infarction admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Ginkgo diterpenoid glucoside injection, while the observation group received Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture in addition to the treatment of the control group. After two weeks of continuous treatment, the efficacy was evaluated. The changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, cerebral hemodynamics [mean flow rate (Qm), mean velocity (Vm), and cerebral vascular resistance index (RI)] of the affected side middle cerebral artery, serum inflammatory factors, and adverse reactions were observed before and after treatment in both groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (97.92% vs. 85.42%, P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of TCM syndrome symptoms such as hemiplegia, facial deviation, speech difficulty, dizziness and vomiting, and fatigue were lower in the observation group compared to the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the Qm and Vm of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05), while the RI value was lower (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum NLRP3 and IL-1β in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (12.5% vs. 8.3%, P > 0.05). Conclusion: Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture combined with Ginkgo diterpenoid glucoside injection can promote neurological function recovery, reduce inflammatory response, improve clinical efficacy, and has good safety in the treatment of patients with cerebral infarction.
