Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of the spleen-invigorating and meridian-connecting method based on the theory of meridian disease in improving symptoms of patients with coronary microvascular disease. Methods: A total of 100 patients with coronary microvascular disease admitted to our hospital from May 2018 to March 2020 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, each with 50 cases. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment, while the study group was treated with Yishen Jianpi Huayu Tongluo Decoction based on the theory of meridian disease. The clinical efficacy, endothelial function [nitric oxide (NO), endothelin-1 (ET-1), C-reactive protein (CRP), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)], coronary microcirculation [coronary flow reserve (CFR), myocardial plateau intensity (A), replenishment average velocity (β)], Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ) scores, and TCM symptom scores were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the study group (94.00%) was higher than that of the control group (70.00%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.001). Compared with before treatment, after treatment, NO, VEGF, A, β, CFR, and SAQ scores increased, while ET-1, CRP, and TCM symptom scores decreased in both groups, and the study group showed better results than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The use of the spleen-invigorating and meridian-connecting method based on the theory of meridian disease, namely Yishen Jianpi Tongluo Decoction, shows significant efficacy in treating coronary microvascular disease, which can improve clinical symptoms and endothelial function and enhance coronary microcirculation.
