Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Wenxin granules for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Methods:Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)combined with Wenxin granules for the treatment of atrial fibrillation were searched from CNKI,VIP,WanFang,PubMed,the Cochrane Library and EMbase databases from the establishment of the database to June 1,2023.Two researchers screened independently the papers and used the Cochrane bias risk assessment tool to assess the risk of bias in the included literatures.RevMan 5.4 software was used for Meta-analysis to evaluate the overall response rate, ventricular rate,P-wave dispersion(Pd),maximum P-wave duration(Pmax),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left atrial diameter(LAD)and left ventricular end diastolic dimension(LVEDD)differences before and after treatment of Wenxin granules for the treatment of atrial fibrillation, and to evaluate the safety. Results:A total of 40 literatures were included, including 3 459 patients. The results of Meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group, the total efficacy(RR=1.23,95% CI 1.19-1.28,P<0.000 01),LVEF difference before and after treatment(MD=6.41,95% CI 5.62-7.20,P<0.000 01)increased in the treatment group, while ventricular rate difference before and after treatment(MD=-6.83,95% CI-7.40--6.25,P<0.000 01),Pmax difference before and after treatment(MD=-10.18,95% CI-12.27--8.09,P<0.000 01),Pd difference before and after treatment(MD=-3.89,95% CI-4.18--3.59,P<0.000 01),LVEDD difference before and after treatment(MD=-5.96,95% CI-7.13--4.79,P<0.000 01)and incidence of adverse reactions(RR=0.52,95% CI 0.41-0.67,P<0.000 01)decreased significantly. Conclusion:The current evidence showed that conventional western medicine combined with Wenxin granules could improve the clinical symptoms and cardiac function of patients with atrial fibrillation, with better safety.
