Progress of Biomaterials in Tissue-engineering of Heart Valves

Abstract：This review summarizes the development of various biomaterials and discusses the current and future trends of cardiac valve biomaterials, aiming to understand the development of cardiac valve tissue engineering from the perspective of materials science. Currently, artificial heart valves used in valve replacement surgery include mechanical valves and biological valves, but artificial heart valves lack long-term stability and biocompatibility. It is necessary to develop more durable and effective alternatives that better simulate the function of natural heart valves.
