Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of flavored ginseng granules on cardiac and renal function in cardiorenal syndrome(CRS)patients with yang deficiency and blood stasis and edema. Methods:A total of 72 patients with CRS were selected, and randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table method, the patients in control group were treated by conventional Western medicine, and the patients in treatment group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine preparations and flavored ginseng granules on the basis of the control group, and the cardiac function and renal function before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was 83.33%,which was higher than that of control group(58.33%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the rate of adverse reactions between the two groups(25.00%vs 27.78%,P>0.05).There were no significant differences in baseline levels, cardiac function indexes, and renal function indexes between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD),serum creatinine(Scr),urea nitrogen(BUN),and serum cystatin(CysC)were lower in treatment group than those in control group, and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)in treatment group was higher than that in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of cardiorenal syndrome with flavored ginseng granules can effectively improve cardiac and renal function, reduce clinical symptoms, and with high safety.
