Abstract:Objective:To analyze the current status and shortcomings of clinical studies related to mild cognitive impairment(MCI)registered in China Clinical Trial(ChiCTR).Methods:A search was conducted for MCI clinical trials registered in ChiCTR up to July 31,2023.Excel 2019 was used to summarize and analyze. Results:A total of 138 studies were included, including 106 interventional studies,14 observational studies,6 diagnostic tests,7 etiology or associated factors studies,3 basic science studies,1 screening, and 1 health service study. The studies covered 19 provincial-level administrative regions and involved 84 clinical trial institutions, with 27 636 participants. The funding were mainly national and local finances.Interventions included both TCM and non-TCM.The TCM measures included oral preparations of TCM,TCM diagnostic and treatment projects. The outcome indicators were mainly related with scales, which focused on the assessment of cognitive function. Conclusion:At present, the number of MCI-related clinical trial registrations is relatively less, but the characteristics of TCM treatment for MCI are obvious. There are still some problems in this field such as uneven geographical distribution, poor standardization of research design, and low transparency.
