Therapeutic Effect of Gualoupi Granules in the Treatment of Restenosis with Soft Plaque after PCI

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the curative effect of Gualoupi granules(GLPG)in the treatment of restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods Eighty-four patients with stable coronary heart disease(CHD)and soft plaque undergoing PCI from May 2013 to May 2015 at the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n =42)treated with routine treatment,and treatment group(n =42)treated with GLPG in the basis of routine treatment.The restenosis after PCI was compared between the two groups.Results The rate of restenosis in treatment group was significantly lower than that in control group(P <0.05).The total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)symptom was higher in treatment group than that in the control group(P <0.01);The levels of serum total cholesterol,triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol were lower in treatment group than that in the control group(P <0.05),and highdensity lipoprotein cholesterol level was higher in treatment group than that in the control group(P <0.05).Conclusion GLPG can reduce the incidence of coronary restenosis in patients after PCI.
