Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of stress on immune-related indexes in patients with essential hypertension (EH). Methods One hundred and forty-six patients with EH,of wich 32 patients in tension and 114 patients in non-tension state, were se-lected. The immune-related indicators were detected. Results The levels of serum globulin(GLB) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) in hypertensive patients with tension were significantly lower than those in patients with non-tension state ( P<0.05). There was a sig-nificant negative correlation between GLB,IgG and tension ( r=-0.189, P=0.023; r=-0.223, P=0.007). Conclusion Tension in patients with EH can lead to the decline of immune function.
