The Influence of Tongfu Xingshen Decoction and Piracetam Injection on Neurological Function and Serum hs-CRP, NSE, IL-6 Levels in Patients with Cerebral Hemorrhage

Abstract：Objective To study the effects of Tongfu Xingshen decoction (TXD) and piracetam injection on neurological function and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP),neuron specific enolase (NSE) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) in patients with cerebral hemorrhage.Methods Ninety-eight patients with cerebral hemorrhage in our hospital from March 2000 to February 2017 were selected and randomly divided into two groups:control group (n =49) treated with piracetam injection,and observation group (n =49) treated with TXD and piracetam injection.The scores of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS),Barthel index,and the levels of hs-CRP,NSE,and IL-6 were observed before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the NIHSS scores in observation group were sig nificantly lower than that in control group (P ＜0.05).Barthel index scores in observation group were significantly higher than that in control group (P ＜0.05).The levels of serum hs-CRP,NSE,and IL-6 in observation group were significantly lower than that in con trol group (P ＜0.05).The total effective rate was higher than that in control group (95.9％ vs 63.3％,P ＜0.05).Conclusion TXD and piracetam injection can promote the recovery of neurological function,reduce the levels of serum hs-CRP,NSE and I L-6,and improve the prognosis and the quality of life in patients with cerebral hemorrhage.
