Clinical Observation on Wenxinlv Mixture in the Treatment of Atrial Fibrillation

Abstract：Objective To observe the effects of Wenxinlv mixture(WXLM)in the treatment of long-term persistent and permanent at-rial fibrillation.Methods Forty patients with long-term persistent and permanent atrial fibrillation were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=20)treated with routine treatment,and treatment group(n=20)treated with routine treatment plus WXLM for 28 days.Atrial Fibrillation Effect on Quality-of-life (AFEQT),traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)palpitation syndrome scores were observed before and after treatment.Results Compared with the control group,the quality of life(symptom,daily activities and treatment satisfaction dimension)in treatment group were significantly improved(P<0.05 or P<0.01).TCM syndrome scores were significantly decreased in two groups,which was lower in treatment group than that in control group (P<0.05).After treatment,the ventricular rate in both groups was significantly lower than that before treatment (P<0.05),and there was significant difference in ventricular rate between two groups before and after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion WXLM plus routine treatment has effect on long-term persistent and permanent atrial fibrillation with heart yang deficiency syndrome.
