Abstract:Objective To study the effect of high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) on endothelial function in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) or stable angina (SA).Methods Gradient centrifugation was used to centrifuge HDL from normal volunteers (control group,n =28),AMI patients (AMI group,n =25) and SA patients (SA group,n =25).The effects of HDL on endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and its phosphorylation sites at S1177 expression, levels of nitric oxide (NO) and oxygen free radical (O2 ·-) in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) were detected. Results There was no significant difference in eNOS expression,NO and O2 ·-levels in HUVES between SA group and control group (P >0.05).Compared with SA group, the expression of eNOS and its phosphorylation sites at S117 were inhibited,NO level decreased, and the O2 ·-content increased in AMI group (P <0.05).Conclusion HDL-C damage endothelial function by inhibiting eNOS/NO/O2 ·-pathway in AMI patients.
