Study on the Rationality of TCM Disease Term and Vessel Distention in Hypertension Based on Expert Questionnaire

Abstract:Objective To investigate the rationality of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) disease name and vessel distention in hypertension based on expert questionnaire.Methods We formulated the questionnaire,a nationwide survey,and established the Epidata 3.0 database,and analyzed by using SPSS19.0 statistical software.Results Five hundreds and twenty-three experts from 53 hospitals in 19 provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities were investigated.The investigation show that the experts who be lieved that TCM disease name such as dizziness,headache and wind dizziness could not be equal to hypertension account for 872% to 98.5%.92.9% of experts agreed to adopt the new name of the disease instead of vertigo.The recognition of vessel distention theory was 87.8%.Conclusion The use of traditional Chinese medicine name of hypertension is not reasonable.The theory of vessel distention is reasonable to be recognized by experts.
