Clinical Observation on Yiqi Huoxue Wenyang Lishui Prescription in the Treatment of Systolic Heart Failure

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Huoxue Wenyang Lishui prescription (YHWLP) in the treatment of systolic heart failure.Methods Sixty patients with systolic heart failure and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome of qi deficiency and blood stagnation,yang deficiency and water overflow were randomly divided into two groups:control group treated with routine treatment,and treatment group treated with routine treatment plus YHWLP for 4 weeks.The levels of plasma N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP),left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),cardiac function classification,and TCM symptom im provement were observed before and after treatment.Results After treatment,LVEF,cardiac function classification,and the improvement of TCM symptom were significantly improved in two groups,which was better in treatment group than that in control group (P＜0.05).The levels of plasma NT-proBNP were decreased in two groups after treatment,which were lower in treatment group than that in control group (P ＜0.05).Conclusion YHWLP and routine treatment has a significant clinical effect in patients with systolic heart failure.
