Clinical Observation on Xinshubao Capsule and Atorvastatin in the Treatment of Elderly Hypertensive Patients with Hyperlipidemia

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of Xinshubao capsule (XSBC) and atorvastatin on the efficacy and serum inflammatory factors in elderly hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia.Methods Eighty-six elderly hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia in Qinghai Renji Hospital were randomly divided into two groups:control group treated with atorvastatin,and observation group treated with XSBC and atorvastatin.After treatment,the therapeutic efficacy were observed.The levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),blood lipid content,diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) level,tumor suppressor factor alpha (TNF-alpha),interleukin (IL)-6,IL-8 and high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and other inflammatory cytokines contents were compared between two groups before and after treatment.The adverse reactions during treatment were observed.Results After treatment,the total effective rate was 93％ in observation group,which was significantly higher than that in control group (P ＜0.05).After treatment,the degree of improvement of TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,DBP,SBP,TNF-alpha,lL-6,IL-8 and hs-CRP levels in observation group were significantly better than that in control group (P ＜0.05).No obvious adverse reactions occurred in all patients during treatment.Conclusion XSBC and atorvastatin is good and safe,and can effectively improve the levels of inflammatory factors in elderly hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia.
