Effective Evaluation of Xingnao Tongdu Acupuncture and Yangxue Rongjin Pills in the Treatment of Spasticity after Stroke

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the curative effect of Xingnao Tongdu acupuncture and Yangxue Rongjin pills on post-stroke spasticity,and to provide theoretical basis and practical basis for clinical application.Methods Eighty patients with spastic hemiplegia after ischemic stroke were divided into control group and treatment group according to random number table method.The patients in control group (n =40) were treated with conventional acupuncture and eperisone.The patients in treatment group (n =40) were treated with Xingnao Tongdu acupuncture and Yangxue Rongjin pills.The Ashworth scale,and the Barthel activity of daily life (ADL) Index,simple type Fugl-Meyer,and clinical efficacy were observed.Results The patients in treatment group and control group the spasticity was improved,which was more effective in treatment group than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P ＜0.05).Conclusion Xingnao Tongdu acupuncture and Yangxue Rongjin pills can effectively improve the hemiplegia spasticity after stroke and improve the daily livin.g ability.
