Clinical Observation on Wenxin Granule and Mexiletine in the Treatment of Ventricular Arrhythmia in Elderly Patients with Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effects of Wenxin granule and mexiletine in the treatment of ventricular arrhythmia in elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods One hundred and twenty-six elderly patients with CHD ventricular arrhythmia from August 2013 to December 2015 were selected and randomly divided into two groups:control group (n =63) treated with mexiletine tablets,and treatment group (n =63) treated with Wenxin granule plus mexiletine tablets in the basis of routine treatment for one month.The efficacy was observed.Results The total clinical effective rate was higher in treatment group than that in control group after treatment (P ＜0.05).The QTcd values after treatment in treatment group and control group were lower than that before treatment (P ＜ 0.05).The number of ventricular premature contraction,and nonsustained ventricular tachycardia in two groups after treatment were significantly lower than that before treatment (P ＜0.05),which were were lower in treatment group after treatment than those of control group (P ＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the liver and renal function,electrolyte,and adverse reactions between two groups (P ＞0.05).Conclusion Wenxin granule and mexiletine can improve the curative effect in elderly patients with CHD ventricular arrhythmia,and can improve cardiac electrophysiological properties and prolong the action potential that has good application values.
