Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of hour acupoint application therapy on 24-hours ambulatory blood pressure in patients with hypertension and liver yang hyperactivity syndrome. Methods Seventy-two patients with hypertension and liver yang hyperactivity syndrome were randomly divided into two groups:control group (n =36) treated with conventional time treatment, and observation group (n =36) treated with hour acupoint application therapy at the time point,1 times a day,in the basis of routine treatment for 4 weeks. The changes of ambulatory blood pressure in the two groups were observed. Results The 24-hours systolic blood pressure (SBP),24-hours diastolic blood pressure (DBP),and daytime SBP value were decreased in two groups after treatment (P <0.05).There was significant difference in the 624-hours SBP,and day SBP value between two groups after the treatment (P <0.05).Conclusion Acupoint application can improve the 24-hours ambulatory blood pressure parameters in patients with hypertension and the effect of hour acupoint application is better than that of routine acupuncture on reducing the 24-hours and daytime systolic blood pressure.
