Abstract:Objective To explore the effects and clinical significance of Qigui Jiannao prescription (QJP) on the level of serum amylold β protein and cognitive ability in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD).Methods Sixty patients with AD were collected in hospital, and randomly divided into two groups;control group (n =30) treated with Naofukang, and treatment group (n =30) treated with QJP for 6 months. The content of serum amylold-β were detected before and after treatment respectively, and the mental retardation degree was evaluated by simple intelligence status scale. Results Compared with that before treatment, the serum level of amyloid-β protein in two groups were significantly decreased after treatment (P <0.05),while the simple mental state scale scores were markedly increased after treatment (P <0.05).There was no significantly differences between control group and treatment group (P >0.05).Conclusion QJP can improve the cognitive abilities in patients with AD,which can improve the content of serum amyloid-β protein in patients with AD.
