Correlation of H Type Hypertension with the Distribution of TCM Syndrome Type

Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation of H type hypertension with the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome types.Methods One hundred and forty-four patients with H type hypertension from December 2014 to December 2015 in Urumqi Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine were selected.The general information of patients was collected.Results The occurrence rates of TCM syndrome type were phlegm dampness syndrome,liver fire hyperactivity syndrome,yang hyperactivity syndrome due to yin deficiency,yin and yang deficiency syndrome (59.72% vs 17.36% vs 13.19% vs 9.72%) in patients with H type hypertension.The homocysteine (Hcy) level was the highest in patients with phlegm dampness syndrome,which was higher than that in patients with yang hyperactivity syndrome due to yin deficiency (P <0.05).The age was oldest in patients with phlegm dampness syndrome,which was higher than that in patients with liver fire hyperactivity syndrome,or yang hyperactivity syndrome due to yin deficiency (P < 0.05).Conclusion The main syndrome was phlegm dampness syndrome in patients with H type hypertension.The Hcy level was the highest in patients with phlegm dampness syndrome.The age was oldest in patients with phlegm dampness syndrome.
