Effects of Shensong Yangxin Capsule and Trimetazidine on the Oxidative Stress in Patients with Angina Pectoris

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of Shensong Yangxin capsule (SYC) and trimetazidine tablets on serum oxidative stress index in patients with angina pectoris of coronary heart disease.Methods Ninety-eight 98 patients with angina pectoris treated by the method of random number table were divided into two groups:control group (n =49) treated with trimetazidine,and treatment group (n =49) treated with SYC and trimetazidine.After treatment,the efficacy was evaluated.The levels of blood lipid,malondialdehyde (MDA),superoxide dismutase (SOD),glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) and total antioxidative capability (T-Aoc) were detected before and after treatment,respectively.Adverse reactions were observed.Results The total clinical effective rate was higher in treatment group than that in control group (95.9％ vs 81.6％,P ＜ 0.05).After treatment,the levels of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol (TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and MDA in treatment group were significantly lower than that in control group,while high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),SOD,GSH-PX and T-Aoc levels in treatment group were significantly higher than those in control group (P ＜0.05).There was no serious adverse reactions occurred in all patients during the treatment.Concluslon SYC and trimetazidine has the curative effect on angina pectoris of coronary heart disease,which can improve the index of oxidative stress in patients.
