Abstract:Objective To study the clinical characteristics, diastolic pressure and hematocrit levels of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes in patients with hypertension. Methods Three hundreds and thirty-three hypertensive patients were selected, including 73 cases of alopecia fever syndrome,97 cases of phlegm and dampness syndrome,70 cases of yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome,91 patients with deficiency syndrome of yin and yang. The clinical characteristics, diastolic pressure and hematocrit levels of TCM syndromes in patients with hypertension were compared. Results Compared with the other syndromes, the height, weight, erythrocyte count, white blood cell count and platelet count of alopecia fever syndrome were the highest, and the level of diastolic pressure of alopecia fever syndrome was significantly higher than that of other syndromes (P <0.05).The hematocrit level of yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome group and alopecia fever syndrome group was significantly higher than that of phlegm and dampness syndrome group (P <0.05).Conclusion The levels of hematocrit and diastolic pressure in hypertensive patients with alopecia fever syndrome are higher than that of other syndromes. There is a significant correlation between the levels of hematocrit and diastolic pressure.Clinical testing has a certain significance for understanding the pathogenesis of hypertension syndrome, observation of disease, syndrome differentiation.
