Effects of Danzhi Jiangtang Capsule and Irbesartan on FPG,LDL-C and Hcy in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Complicated with Hypertension

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of Danzhi Jiangtang capsule (DJC) and irbesartan on fasting plasma glucose (FPG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and homocysteine (Hcy) in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) complicated with hypertension.Methods Ninety diabetic patients with hypertension from April 2015 to March 2016 in our hospital were selected,and randomly divided into two groups:control group (n=45) treated with irbesartan,and observation group (n=45) treated with DJC and irbesartan.The levels of FPG,LDL-C,Hcy,fasting insulin (FINS),homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) index,blood pressure,glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) were observed before and after treatment.The clinical efficacy were compared.Results After treatment,the levels of FPG,LDL-C,Hcy,FINS,HOMA-IR,systolic blood pressure (SBP) ,diastolic blood pressure (DBP),and HbA1c decreased in two groups,which were lower in observation group than that in control group (P<0.05).The total effective rate was higher in observation group than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion DJC and irbesartan can effectively reduce the blood pressure and blood glucose,inhibit the expression of Hcy,and improve the therapeutic effect in patients with DM complicated with hypertension.
