Clinical Observation on Guini Dingxuan Decoction in the Treatment of Posterior Circulation Ischemia with Qi and Blood Deficiency Syndrome

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Guini Dingxuan decoction (GDD) in the treatment of posterior circulation ischemic vertigo with qi and blood deficiency syndrome.Methods Eighty patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo with qi and blood deficiency syndrome were randomly divided into two groups:control group (n=40) treated with flunarizine,and treatment group (n=40) treated with GDD for 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy was observed.The mean flow velocity(Vm) of vertebral artery and basilar artery were observed by transcranial Doppler (TCD) before and after treatment.Results After treatment, the Vm were improved in two groups compared to before treatment (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the Vm between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion GDD is effective for posterior circulation ischemic vertigo with Qi and blood deficiency syndrome by improving Vm.
