Abstract:Objective To observe the influence of Du-moxibustion and atorvastatin on carotid plaques and recurrence in patients with cerebral infarction and qi deficient and blood stasis syndrome. Methods Eighty patients with cerebral infarction and qi deficient and blood stasis syndrome in carotid plaque were randomly divided into two groups:control group (n=40) treated with atorvastatin, and treatment group (n=40) treated with Du-moxibustion and atorvastatin for 15 months.C-reactive protein,Chinese Stroke Scale,Barthel Index,inteima-media thickness, carotid plaque score and cerebral infarction recurrence rate were observed after 15 months. Results After 15 months of treatment,C-reactive protein level decreased in treatment group, which was lower than that in control group (P<0.05).The scores of inteima-media thickness and carotid plaque decreased in treatment group, which was lower than that in control group (P<0.05).The scores of Chinese Stroke Scale and Barthel Index improved in treatment group, which was better than that in control group (P<0.05).The recurrence rate of cerebral infarction in treatment group was lower than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Du-moxibustion and atorvastatin can reduce carotid plaques, decrease the recurrence of cerebral infarction.
