Abstract:Objective To study the influence of blood glucose on the concentration of circulating microparticles (MPs) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).Methods Seventy-seven patients with ACS in Department of Cardiac Surgery,The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from 2014 July to December 2014 were recruited, including 35 patients complicated with diabetes mellitus (DM).The relationship between blood glucose levels and MPs concentration and effect on endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) expression were analysed. Results MPs concentrations were obviously higher in ACS patients complicated with DM than those ACS patients. What's more, the blood glucose levels was positively correlated with the MPs concentrations in ACS patients complicated with DM (r=0.59, P=0.000 2).The eNOS expression in patients with ACS and DM was lower than that in ACS patients. Conclusion High blood glucose may affect the development of ACS by increasing the body MPs concentrations and inhibiting eNOS expression.
