Clinical Observation on Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine in the Treatment of Acute Hypertensive Cerebral Hemorrhage

Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of acute hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage treated with integrative Chinese and western medicine.Methods Forty-eight patients with acute hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage in our hospital from January 2015 to April 2016 were randomly divided into two groups:control group (n=24) treated with western routine treatment,and treatment group (n=24) treated with western routine treatment plus oral or nasal feeding Huatan Maitong tablets for 4 weeks.National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS),Modified Rankins cale (mRS), and modified Barthel index (MBI) scale scores were observed.Results After the treatment,the NIHSS and mRS scores in treatment group were lower than that in control group(P<0.01),and the MBI score in treatment group was higher than that in control group(P<0.01).Conclusion The integrative Chinese and western medicine can improve nerve function,improve the quality of life in patients with acute hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.
