The Relation between Apolipoprotein E Gene Polymorphism and Ischemic Stroke in Chinese Han Population:a Meta Analysis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the relation between apolipoprotein E(ApoE) gene polymorphism and ischemic stroke in Chinese Han population by meta analysis.Methods The domestic and foreign related research (2015 to 2016) published ApoE gene polymorphism and ischemic stroke were searched.All the literature were given meta analysis,and were calculated the index in the literature were caculated.Results A total of 10 case-control studies were discovered,The ApoE ε2/2,ε4/4,ε2/3, ε2/4 genotype and ε2 allele were compared between the ischemic stroke group and control group were not significant heterogeneity (P>0.05),and the ApoE ε 3/3 and ε3/4 genotypes and ε3,ε4 different compared were significant heterogeneity (P<0.05).The ischemic stroke risk OR values in the ApoE ε2/2,ε3/3,ε4/4,ε2/3,ε2/4,ε3/4 genotype were 0.855,0.554,2.721,0.816,1.793 and 2.330.Fix effect model and random effect model showed that the ApoE genotype and allele distribution data of OR and the corresponding P value in patients with ischemic stroke were consistent.Conclusion In the Han population,ApoE ε2/4,ε 3/4 ε4/4 genotype and ε4 allele may be susceptible genetic risk factors for ischemic stroke.
