Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristics of erythrocyte and platelet parameters in different syndromes of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFPEF).Methods From June 2015 to June 2016,199 patients with HFPEF were enrolled in Department of Cardiology,Guang''anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and the patients were selected for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome differentiation. The red blood cell and platelet parameters were measured, and the clinical characteristics of these indexes were compared and analyzed. Results Red blood cell distribution width CV (RDW-cv),red blood cell distribution width SD (RDW-sd) and large platelet ratio (P-LCR) were significantly higher than those of other syndromes (P<0.05).Platelet distribution width (PDW) was significantly higher than Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome (P<0.05).The platelet specific volume (PCT) of phlegm and blood stasis syndrome was significantly higher than that of Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in hematocrit (HCT),mean corpuscular volume (MCV),mean hemoglobin (MCH) and mean platelet volume (MPV) of each syndrome type (P>0.05).Conclusion The edema syndrome due to Yang deficiency is associated with RDW,P-LCR and PDW,and phlegm-blood stasis syndrome is closely related to PCT in patients with HFPEF, which can be used as one of the references for microcosmic differentiation of TCM in the future.
