Abstract:Objective To provide the basis of syndrome differentiation for treating cardio cerebrovascular diseases in patients with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) dialectical,a retrospective study was carried in patients with coronary heart disease complicated with old cerebral infarction. Methods By means of electronic case retrieval system, baseline characteristics,TCM syndrome type, tongue and pulse characteristics, the main clinical symptoms and other information were collected, and the distribution of TCM syndromes were analysised using retrospective study method. Results Sixty-six patients with coronary heart disease complicated with outmoded cerebral infarction were selected, the TCM syndromes of phlegm blocking heart vessel syndrome is the most common, followed by blood stasis syndrome,Yang deficiency syndrome, heart and kidney Yin deficiency and water violating heart and lung syndrome is a rare, including 29 cases(43.9%) of syndrome of phlegm blocking heart vessel,9 cases(13.6%) of blood stasis stagnation syndrome,1 case (1.5%) of Yang deficiency syndrome,1 case(1.5%) of heart and kidney yin deficiency,1 case(1.5%) of water violating heart lung syndrome. The TCM syndrome elements of phlegm and blood stasis syndrome is the highest, followed by syndrome of deficiency and excess, syndrome of deficiency is the least, including 29 cases (43.9%) of phlegm syndrome,9 cases (13.6%) of blood stasis syndrome,14 cases (21.2%)of syndrome of deficiency and excess,7 cases(10.6%) of syndrome of deficiency. There were no significant differences in the distribution of TCM syndromes and syndrome elements between different gender and age groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The distribution law of TCM syndromes in patients with coronary heart disease complicated with old cerebral infarction has certain guiding function to syndrome differentiation and treatment of cardio cerebrovascular diseases.
