Abstract:Objective To investigate the risk factors associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) complicated with carotid atherosclerotic (CAS) plaque formation Methods One hundred and fifty patients with T2DM in our hospital from January 2016 to September 2016 were diagnosed and divided into CAS plaque plaque group (70 cases, 46.7%) and non plaque group (80 cases, 53.3%).The routine laboratory indicators were collected.Logistic regression analysis was carried out. Results There was a significant difference in the patient''s age, medical history, history of hypertension, coronary heart disease, cerebral infarction,T2DM duration, body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure (SBP), 2-hour plasma glucose (2h PG),fasting insulin (FINS), insulin sensitivity index (IsI), serum uric acid (SUA), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),homocysteine (Hcy), C-reactive protein (CRP) between two groups (P<0.01 or P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the gender, smoking history, waist-to-hip ratio, diastolic blood pressure (DBP), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), 2-hour insulin (2 h INS), uric acid lb (UAlb), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), C peptide between two groups (P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed that age, hypertension, duration of T2DM, SBP, LDL-C into the equation, and prompt the 6 items for T2DM combined CAS plaque formation of the independent risk factors. Conclusion Age,history of hypertension, duration of T2DM, T2DM, LDL-C, SBP and other independent risk factors associated with CAS plaque formation.
