Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of safflor yellow (SY) on myonecrosis in unstable angina (UA) patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods Sixty patients with UA undergoing stent implantation were randomized into two groups:control group treated with routine treatment, and treatment group treated with SY and routine treatment.P-selecting level was observed before and after treatment. The incidence of myonecrosis was evaluated by the levels of creatine kinase-myocardial band (CK-MB) and troponin I (TnI) before and after PCI.Results P-selectin level in treatment group was lower than that in control group (P<0.05).The incidence of CK-MB and TnI elevation in treatment group were lower than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion SY displays its effect on decreases the risk of myonecrosis following PCI in UA patients, which may related to suppress the activation and assembly of platelets.
