Effects of Shenyuan Yiqi Huoxue Capsule on the Quality of Life in Patients with Unstable Angina Pectoris

Abstract：Objective To explore the effects of Shenyuan Yiqi Huoxue capsule (SYHC) on the quality of life in patients with unstable angina pectoris (UAP).Methods Ninety-seven patients with UAP were randomly divided into 2 groups:control group (n=48) treated with routine treatment of western medicine,and treatment group (n=49) treated with SYHC and routine treatment of western medicine for 4 weeks.The scores of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) symptom and Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ) were observed before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the TCM symptom scores in two groups were higher than before treatment(P<0.05).The TCM symptom scores in treatment group were higher than that in control group(P<0.05).SAQ scores in two groups were higher than before treatment(P<0.05).The scores of SAQ physical limitation (PL),angina stability (AS),angina frequency (AF),treatment satisfaction (TS) in treatment group were better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion SYHC and routine treatment of western medicine can improve the TCM symptom scores and SAQ scores in patients with UAP.
