Influence of Detemir Insulin and Compound Danshen Dripping Pill on the Inflammatory Cytokines, Regulatory Factor Activity and Insulin Resistance in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract：Objective To study the influence of detemir insulin and compound Danshen dripping pill (CDDP) on the inflammatory cytokines, regulatory factor activity and insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods One hundred and nine patients with T2DM and CHD were randomly divided into two groups:control group (n=54) treated with detemir insulin,and treatment group (n=55) treated with detemir insulin and CDDP for 8 weeks.The levels of inflammatory cytokines, regulatory factor activity and insulin resistance were observed before and after treatment.Results After treatment, the effects were improved in two groups,which was better in treatment group than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Detemir insulin and CDDP can significantly reduce the levels of inflammatory factors and the activity of regulatory factors, improve insulin resistance.
