Clinical Features and Risk Factors of Patients with Acute Posterior Circulation Cerebral Infarction

Abstract：Objective To investigate and analysis the clinical characteristics and risk factors of patients with acute posterior circulation cerebral infarction (APCCI).Methods Used a retrospective study,from September 2012 to February 2016,72 patients with acute posterior circulation cerebral infarction in Navy General Hospital for diagnosis and treatment were selected as the posterior circulation group,the other 72 patients with anterior circulation cerebral infarction were selected as the anterior circulation group.The clinical features were recorded,general information and biochemical indexes were compared,and the risk factors of acute posterior circulation infarction were analyzed.Results The small artery occlusion type was the most common in the posterior circulation group and followed by large artery atherosclerosis infarction;and the large artery atherosclerosis type was the most common in the anterior circulation group followed by small artery occlusion,there was statistical significance between two groups (P<0.05).The two groups of total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) contents compared were no significant difference (P>0.05),The low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),C-reactive protein (CRP) and homocysteine (Hcy) contents in the posterior circulation group were significantly higher than that of the anterior circulation group (P<0.05).Linear correlation analysis showed that LDL-C,CRP,Hcy were showed positive correlated to the acute posterior circulation cerebral infarction (r=0.310,0.324,0.442,P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the Hcy,CRP and LDL-C were the risk factors for posterior circulation cerebral infarction (P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical features of acute posterior circulation cerebral infarction is more with small artery occlusion type,Hcy,CRP,LDL-C are in the high expression,and the Hcy,CRP,LDL-C are the main risk factors of acute posterior circulation cerebral infarction,which can be used as clinical diagnosis indicators of acute posterior circulation cerebral infarction.
