Current Situation and Reflection of Acupuncture based on Midnight-noon Cycle in Treating Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract：To summarize the literatures on the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD)by acupuncture based on midnight-noon cycle (Acu-MN)in the recent years,and to analyze the mechanism,clinical application and potential questions. Acu-MN showed favorable short-term effect,while the long-term clinical effectiveness was still unclear. It needs to further standardize clinical prac-tice by establishing clinical pathway of Acu-MN in treating CHD and demonstrate its therapeutic effect and safety by strengthening evidence-based medicine.
